Do you have old books you no longer read and are taking unnecessary space on your shelves? If so, we would love to have them! In 2018, we're starting a new initiative that encourages the love of reading in children by collecting old unwanted books and donating them to children who can't afford to indulge them themselves. This is an issue especially prominent in India where there are no public libraries, least of all in a slum. Therefore, children there have no way for recreational reading and are instead, stuck with reading their school books for leisure. We thought this would be a great way to recycle old books and ensure that the children develop a passion for reading and consequently, improve their english skills. When donating books, please keep in mind that these will be going to children who are under 16, therefore, it would be appreciated if the books were appropriate for that age group.
